Job summary

ABB is seeking a technically strong, customer-focused Inside Sales Specialist to support a growing sales organization. You will pursue incoming leads, provide technical guidance, support bids, and convert needs into sales opportunities.

You will collaborate across sales, proposals, operations, and customer teams to keep opportunities moving from first inquiry to order and delivery. Hybrid work from Houston, TX is preferred, with remote options available.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering or Business required; candidates without a degree considered with commensurate experience.
• At least 8 years of experience, including 3+ years in the electrical industry.
• Familiarity with 3-phase AC power systems and related equipment.
• Experience with complex bid and project proposal processes and negotiations.
• Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Experience supporting EPCs, industrial end users, or large account sales preferred.
• US work authorization is required.

• Serve as the primary inside sales and customer support resource.
• Manage and coordinate the proposal process and key bid milestones.
• Drive customer satisfaction through proactive communication and post-sale support.
