Job summary

ABB is seeking a technically strong Inside Sales Specialist to support a growing sales organization, handling incoming leads, providing technical guidance, and coordinating bids.

You will work cross-functionally with sales, proposals, operations, and customer teams to keep opportunities moving from inquiry to order, while building a strong customer experience. Hybrid work from Houston, TX is preferred, with remote options considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business preferred; commensurate experience considered.
• 8+ years of experience, including at least 3 in electrical industry.
• Familiarity with 3-phase AC Power Systems and related equipment.
• Experience with bids and project proposals.
• Strong cross-functional coordination and communication.
• Willingness to learn new software tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary inside sales and customer support resource, qualifying leads and guiding customers.
• Manage and coordinate the proposal process by reviewing RFQs, overseeing Salesforce opportunities, and pricing activities.
• Drive customer satisfaction and project execution through proactive updates, issue resolution, and change orders.
• Support business operations and sales performance by handling NDA/warranty processes and developing sales reports.
