Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Project Manager – Transmission and Substation to lead multidisciplinary teams from concept through design, procurement, construction management, commissioning, and closeout. You will manage high‑voltage transmission lines, substations, and related power infrastructure, ensuring alignment with client expectations, scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (ABET-accredited) or related field.
• 5+ years PM experience in transmission lines, substations, or related power projects.
• Experience with PM processes in electric utility/power industry.
• Ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, and stakeholders.
• Strong presentation, negotiation, and client-management skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update project forecasts, schedules, and status reports.
• Lead project meetings and document decisions, actions, and responsibilities.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and address concerns proactively.
• Monitor performance vs scope, budget, schedule, and quality; mitigate risks.
• Coordinate design development, submittals, and quality reviews.
• Coordinate procurement, change orders, and invoice reviews.
• Identify and pursue opportunities with existing and prospective clients.
• Support proposals, presentations, and new business development.
