Job summary

Jacobs is expanding its Energy & Power Major Programs team to lead complex transmission, substation, and distribution projects from concept through commissioning. The role involves guiding a multi‑disciplinary team across engineering, procurement, and construction to deliver projects on time and within budget.

You will manage client relationships, prepare forecasts, and lead meetings while ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with codes. Travel to project sites is expected in the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET‑accredited engineering program or an advanced management/business degree.
• 5+ years’ of project management experience in managing power delivery projects from initiation through financial project close out as part of any CapEx, or OpEx portfolio.
• Experience delivering greenfield/brownfield OH T‑line (138kV to 765kV), Rebuild/Reroute, Substation, Protection & Control, P&C, SCADA, Telecom and/or IPP, Data Centers, Industrial Customer, Battery Storage projects.
• Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, including project controls, engineering, procurement, construction management, permitting, land acquisition, and surveying.
• Ability to work with project controls on cost analysis, forecast, risk identification, assessment, and mitigation plan.
• Proven track record of directly managing cost, schedule, and risk.
• Excellent customer‑facing, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Excellence in the development and delivery of presentation materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross‑disciplinary project teams from concept to close‑out.
• Prepare and update financial forecasts, project schedules, and other necessary reports.
• Lead project meetings and distribute notes and actions.
• Manage client relationships to ensure expectations are understood and met.
• Monitor project budget, schedule, scope, and quality and mitigate risks as they arise.
• Coordinate engineering design development and drawings submittals.
• Support resolution of siting/permitting and regulatory requirements.
• Facilitate contractor sourcing activities including RFPs and bid analysis.
