Job summary

Jacobs is hiring a Project Manager – Transmission and Substation to lead multidisciplinary teams from concept through commissioning. You will manage scope, schedule, budget and quality for high‑voltage projects, including new lines and substations, while maintaining client alignment and regulatory compliance.

The role offers a base salary range of $117,300 to $160,000 with a hybrid work policy, and requires travel to project sites as needed in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; ABET-accredited preferred.
• 5+ years in project management for transmission/substation or power projects.
• Experience with electric utility or power industry processes and practices.
• Ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality and stakeholders.
• Strong technical, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office; capable of client-facing presentations.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams from concept to closeout on transmission/substation projects.
• Develop and manage schedules, budgets and forecasts; report progress to clients.
• Maintain client relationships and address concerns to align with scope.
• Coordinate design development, submittals, and quality reviews.
• Identify and mitigate risks; manage change orders and procurement steps.
• Support siting, permitting, environmental and regulatory tasks as needed.
• Assist in proposals, scoping, and business development activities.
