Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Project Manager – Transmission & Substation in the Los Angeles area to lead multidisciplinary teams through concept to closeout of HV transmission and substation projects. You will ensure alignment with client expectations, scope, schedule, budget, quality and safety, while navigating regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree or related field.
• 5+ years of PM experience in transmission lines, substations, or related power projects.
• Experience with PM processes in electric utility or power industry.
• Ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, risk, and stakeholders.
• Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/update project forecasts, schedules, and status reports.
• Lead project meetings and document decisions, actions, and owners.
• Maintain client relationships and address concerns.
• Monitor scope, budget, schedule, and quality; mitigate risks.
• Manage communications with clients, stakeholders, and teams.
• Notify stakeholders when budget/schedule risks arise.
• Oversee procurement, change orders, invoices, and status updates.
• Coordinate design development, submittals, and quality reviews.
• Lead resolution of field issues per codes, safety, and project requirements.
• Ensure regulatory/compliance requirements are met; support siting/permits.
