Job summary

Jacobs in Columbus, OH is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead energy delivery projects from concept through close-out, including high voltage transmission, substations, and distribution facilities. You will direct a multidisciplinary team across engineering, permitting, procurement, construction, and commissioning to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.

The role emphasizes client relationships, strong analytical and communication skills, and rigorous risk and cost controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET‑accredited engineering program
• 5+ years’ of project management experience in managing power delivery projects from initiation through financial close out
• Experience delivering greenfield/brownfield OH T‑line (138kV to 765kV), Rebuild/Reroute, Substation, Protection & Control, P&C, SCADA, Telecom and/or IPP, Data Centers, Industrial Customer, Battery Storage projects
• Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams including project controls, engineering, procurement, construction management, permitting, land acquisition, and surveying
• Ability to work with project controls on cost analysis, forecast, risk identification, assessment, and mitigation plan
• Willingness to travel to project sites and attend client meetings

Responsibilities

• Lead project from concept through engineering design, permitting, procurement, construction, commissioning, and close-out
• Manage client relationships to ensure expectations are understood and met
• Lead project meetings and distribute minutes and actions
• Monitor risk and ensure budget, schedule, scope, and quality targets are met
• Coordinate engineering design development, drawing submittals, and quality reviews
• Support resolution of siting/permitting, municipality, and abutter issues
• Facilitate contractor sourcing activities including RFPs, bid analysis, and award recommendations
• Develop and pursue business opportunities with existing or new clients
