Job summary

Eaton Corporation's Power Systems Controls group seeks a capable engineer to lead development, testing, and deployment of PLC/HMI software for power transfer applications. The role combines design, testing, and field support with a focus on PLCs, HMIs, and protection relays.

The position requires a degree in engineering and significant power distribution controls experience, along with a valid driver’s license and readiness for background checks. Hybrid work is available in the Texas region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Engineering with 7+ years in power distribution controls, or Master’s with 5+ years, or 10+ years total.
• Current, unrestricted driver’s license with satisfactory MVR; background check required.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, test, and deploy software for PLCs and HMIs for Power Transfer applications.
• Follow customer specifications and internal specs for project implementation.
• Select components and create bill of materials.
• Provide sketches, mark-ups, and direction to Electrical Designers to develop drawings.
• Prepare SOO and test procedures.
• Assist with factory testing and field start-ups as required.
• Troubleshoot systems that are not functioning properly.
