Job summary

Eaton Corporation's Power Systems Controls team is hiring an engineer to develop and test PLC and HMI software for power transfer applications. You will work with Electrical Designers to translate specifications into robust control solutions and support field deployments.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing, BOM creation, and collaboration with customers. A relevant engineering degree and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with power distribution controls experience or advanced degrees with experience.
• Driver’s license and clean MVR as per Eaton policy.
• PE License is preferred for this role.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, test, and deploy software for PLCs and HMIs for Power Transfer applications.
• Follow customer specifications and internal specs for project implementation.
• Select components and create bill of materials.
• Provide sketches and direction to Electrical Designers for project drawings.
• Prepare customer submittals, SOO, and test procedures.
• Assist with factory testing and field start-ups as required.
• Troubleshoot systems that are not functioning properly.
