Job summary

Eaton Corporation is seeking a Power Systems Controls engineer to lead the development, testing, and deployment of PLC/HMI software for power transfer applications. The role blends engineering, design coordination, and field support in a hybrid work setting.

Ideal candidates have a engineering degree with extensive power distribution controls experience and a valid driver’s license. Preference for candidates near listed locations, with PE license a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering with power distribution controls experience.
Current, unrestricted driver’s license with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record.
10+ years of power distribution controls experience in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

Create, modify, test, and deploy PLC/HMI software for Power Transfer applications.
Follow customer specs and internal specs for project implementation.
Select components and create bill of materials.
Provide sketches, mark-ups, and direction to Electrical Designers to develop project drawings.
Prepare customer submittals, SOO, and test procedures.
Assist with factory testing and field start-ups as required.
Troubleshoot systems that are not functioning properly.
