Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking a Lateral Intake Specialist to support the firm’s risk management function by handling conflicts of interest reporting for onboarding lateral candidates. You will research corporate structures, summarize conflicts results, generate reports, and work with the team to resolve conflicts with partners.

Hybrid schedule across US offices; requires 2 years in conflicts/NBI or paralegal background, with a preferred Bachelor's degree and paralegal certificate.

Qualifications

• 2 years of direct experience in conflicts or new business intake, or two years as a paralegal.
• Experience with intake and conflicts software is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal business communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conducts research and analyzes corporate structures of potential clients and adversaries.
• Reviews and summarizes conflicts search results for reporting and compliance.
• Generates conflict reports and follows up on requests, often urgent.
• Performs quality control checks on conflict reports prior to delivery.
• Collaborates with Conflicts Analysts and Counsel on resolution of conflicts.
• Communicates with partners to assist in processing lateral candidate requests.
