Job summary

DLA Piper is hiring a Lateral Intake Specialist to support our conflicts of interest program during lateral onboarding. You will research corporate structures, review conflicts search results, and generate conflict reports for timely resolution.

The role requires strong written and verbal communication, experience with intake and conflicts software, and meticulous attention to detail, with a hybrid work schedule across US offices.

Qualifications

• 2 years of direct experience in conflicts or new business intake.
• Experience with conflicts software preferred.
• Paralegal background and/or legal environment familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Conducts research and analyzes corporate business structure and history of potential clients and adversaries.
• Reviews, analyzes, interprets, and summarizes conflicts search results as part of the conflict analysis and reporting process.
• Generates conflict reports and follows up on outstanding conflict requests, often on an urgent basis.
• Performs self-evaluative quality control checks of conflict reports prior to delivery.
• Provides a foundational understanding of potential business and ethical conflicts to Conflicts Analysts and Professional Responsibility Counsel, and works with the New Business Intake Lateral Team on the resolution of conflicts.
• Communicates with partners to assist in processing lateral candidate requests and the resolution of conflicts.
• Other duties as assigned.
