Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking a Lateral Intake Specialist to support the firm’s risk management by handling conflicts of interest reporting for onboarding lateral candidates. You will research corporate structures, analyze conflicts, generate reports, and assist in resolving conflicts with the New Business Intake Lateral Team.

Ideal candidates bring experience in a law firm environment, strong written and verbal communication, and proficiency with conflicts software and ticketing systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in a law firm environment preferred.
• Experience writing and communicating in a business environment to present information concisely.
• Experience with intake and conflicts software preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written business communication skills with good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Conducts research and analyzes corporate structures of potential clients and adversaries.
• Reviews, interprets, and summarizes conflicts search results for reporting.
• Generates conflict reports and follows up on requests, often urgent.
• Performs quality control checks of conflict reports before delivery.
• Liaises with Partners and the New Business Intake Lateral Team to resolve conflicts.
• Communicates with partners to assist in processing lateral candidate requests.
