Job summary

OhioHealth at Home in partnership with Compassus is seeking a Hospice Care Consultant in Columbus, OH to model our values and promote compassionate, patient-centered care. You will grow market share by opening new accounts and expanding relationships with hospitals and physician groups.

The role requires resilience, empathy, and a consultative sales approach, with duties including securing referrals, rapid patient admissions, and providing training to partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business required or strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of successful sales experience in healthcare or related field.

Responsibilities

• Open new accounts and grow existing ones within the defined Book of Business.
• Secure referrals and partner with operations to admit eligible patients quickly.
• Meet or exceed weekly performance goals and drive market share growth.
• Build strong, trust-based relationships with referral sources.
• Provide compassionate patient and family support and navigate sensitive conversations.
• Be flexible with hours to ensure timely patient service.
• Gather feedback from referral sources to improve service levels.
• Adapt to changing market priorities and team structures.
• Provide clinical training to referral partners about hospice care.
