Job summary

Compassus seeks a Hospice Care Consultant (HCC) to grow admissions by building strong relationships with healthcare providers and referral sources in the Ohio market. You will manage a defined book of business, opening new accounts and expanding existing ones to meet growth goals, while delivering compassionate care to patients and families.

You will secure referrals, work with operations to ensure rapid admissions, and adapt to changing market dynamics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business strongly preferred.
• Five (5) plus years of successful sales experience in relevant roles.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Excellent customer relationship management skills.
• Experience in Hospice, Home Health, or Healthcare industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive significant growth within the assigned book of business by opening new accounts and expanding existing accounts.
• Secure referrals from physicians, staff, and administrators and partner with the operations team to ensure all clinically-eligible patients are rapidly admitted.
• Take full ownership of meeting or exceeding weekly performance goals and grow productivity levels.
• Cultivate and manage strong, trust-based relationships with referral sources using a consultative approach.
• Show genuine compassion and empathy to patients and families, maintaining resilience in emotional circumstances.
• Be ready to work outside standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, to support patients.
• Seek feedback from referral sources on service levels and relay insights to the operations team.
