Job summary

Compassus seeks a Hospice Care Consultant to grow admissions and market share by building strong relationships with healthcare providers, identifying eligible patients, and ensuring rapid, appropriate admissions.

The role requires compassion and resilience in sensitive conversations, ownership of results, and the ability to work with patients and families to deliver high-quality care. Collaborate with physicians and staff to coordinate care.

Responsibilities

• Drive growth by opening new accounts and expanding existing ones.
• Secure referrals from physicians, staff, and administrators and partner with operations to rapidly admit eligible patients.
• Meet or exceed weekly performance goals and push productivity ahead of tenure-based expectations.
• Build strong, trust-based relationships with referral sources using a needs-based consultative approach.
• Provide compassionate support to patients and families during emotional times and coordinate timely care.
• Be flexible to work outside standard hours, including evenings and weekends, to support patients.
• Gather feedback from referral sources and relay insights to operations to improve service quality.
• Adapt to changing business priorities and team structures as needed.
• Deliver clinical training and education to referral partners to improve understanding of hospice care.
