Job summary

Compassus is seeking a motivated Hospice Care Consultant to expand our market share by building strong relationships with healthcare providers and identifying eligible patients for admission. You will balance compassionate patient support with strong account management to drive admissions growth and improve access to high-quality hospice care.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of sales success in healthcare, proven CRM skills, and the ability to navigate sensitive conversations with empathy

Qualifications

• 5+ years of successful sales experience in healthcare or related roles.
• Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales goals and growing accounts.
• Excellent customer relationship management and communication skills.
• Experience in Hospice, Home Health, or healthcare industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive growth within a defined book of business by opening new accounts and expanding existing ones.
• Secure referrals from physicians, staff, and admins and partner with operations to expedite admissions.
• Meet or exceed weekly/ monthly performance goals and grow productivity.
• Cultivate trust-based relationships with referral sources using a consultative approach.
• Show compassion and empathy to patients and families during sensitive times.
• Be willing to work outside standard hours to support patients in need.
• Seek feedback from referral sources and relay insights to improve service levels.
• Adapt to changing priorities and work to support the team and business.
• Provide clinical training and education to referral partners about hospice care.
