Job summary

Compassus is seeking a Hospice Care Consultant to drive growth by building strong relationships with healthcare providers, identifying eligible patients, and guiding admissions with empathy and professionalism.

You will own a defined book of business, work toward admissions and market share goals, and collaborate with clinicians and operations to ensure timely, compassionate care for patients and their families.

Qualifications

• Five (5) or more years of successful sales experience in relevant roles.
• Excellent customer relationship management skills that drive growth in long-standing accounts.

Responsibilities

• Drive significant growth within the assigned book of business by opening new accounts and expanding existing accounts.
• Secure referrals from physicians, staff, and administrators and partner with the operations team for rapid admissions.
• Take full ownership of meeting or exceeding weekly performance goals and grow productivity.
• Cultivate strong, trust-based relationships with referral sources using a consultative sales approach.
• Show compassion and empathy to patients and families while maintaining resilience in emotional situations.
• Prioritize the patient and be willing to work outside standard business hours as needed.
• Seek feedback from referral sources and relay insights to improve service levels.
• Demonstrate adaptability to changing priorities and team structures.
• Provide clinical training and education to referral partners to improve understanding of hospice care.
