Job summary

William Charles Electric, a MasTec Company, seeks Construction Project Manager I or II to lead HV substation and transmission line projects in the renewables markets. Role is on-site across the continental US with a 3-week on-site rotation and a $1,020 weekly per diem to cover living expenses.

Responsibilities include safety program establishment, project execution planning, cost control, material procurement, permits, and thorough project documentation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• PM I: 3–5 years of Medium/High Voltage substation and transmission line construction experience.
• PM II: 5+ years of Medium/High Voltage substation and transmission line construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Establish site safety requirements with safety team.
• Establish a Project Execution Plan with pre-construction and operations personnel.
• Financial monitoring and reporting: cost tracking, change orders, invoicing; maintain records.
• Procure materials and subcontracts; manage on-site progress and costs.
• Submit monthly cost-to-complete projections.
• Pre-construction planning and risk review with project team.
• Review and procure permits or licenses.
• Maintain project documentation: submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes.
• Communicate with contracting parties and owner's reps.
• Closeout documentation, invoicing, retainage release.
