Job summary

William Charles Construction is seeking a Project Manager I or II to lead HV substation and transmission line construction projects across multiple states, from pre-construction to completion. The role emphasizes staying on schedule and within budget while coordinating with safety, pre-construction, and operations teams.

You can live anywhere in the continental US; on-site work is required with a 3-week rotation and a $1,020/week per diem plus base pay.

Qualifications

• HV substation and transmission line experience is required for PM I/II.
• High School diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management.
• Willing to travel; on-site rotation of 3 weeks on, 4 days off with per diem.

Responsibilities

• Establish site safety requirements with the safety team.
• Create a Project Execution Plan with pre-construction and operations teams.
• Monitor costs, revenues, change orders and invoicing; maintain records.
• Procure materials/subcontracts; manage on-site progress and costs.
• Submit monthly cost-to-complete projections.
• Pre-construction planning; assess risks and opportunities.
• Review permits or licenses as required.
• Maintain project documentation and communication with stakeholders.
• Closeout: finalize documentation and retainage release.
• Build relationships in local markets and coordinate with leadership.
