Job summary

William Charles Electric, a MasTec Company, is seeking Construction Project Manager I or II to lead on-site renewables and power delivery projects. The role requires managing substations and transmission lines from pre-construction to completion, ensuring schedule and budget adherence across multiple Midwest sites.

Travel includes three weeks on-site with a four-day rotation; per diem $1,020 weekly and a company vehicle provided. Strong CPM, PM, and safety leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Safety-focused site leadership and compliance with company policies.
• Develop and maintain Project Execution Plans with cross-functional teams.
• Monitor cost, revenue projections, and change orders; maintain project records.
• Procure materials and subcontracts; manage on-site progress and invoicing.
• Ensure permits/licensing are obtained; manage project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Establish safety requirements with the safety team.
• Create a Project Execution Plan with pre-construction/operations.
• Monitor finances: cost tracking, projections, invoicing, cost-to-complete.
• Procure materials and subs; track progress and costs.
• Prepare monthly cost-to-complete projections.
• Coordinate pre-construction planning and risk reviews.
• Manage permits and project documentation.
• Communicate with client and owner representatives.
• Closeout with final docs and retainage release.
