Job summary

William Charles Electric, a MasTec Company, is seeking a Construction Project Manager I or II for high-voltage substations and transmission lines. The role spans pre-construction to project closeout, with on-site work in the Midwest and a 3 weeks on / 4 days off rotation.

Per diem of $1,020 per week and a company vehicle with fuel card are provided. Responsibilities include safety program establishment, project execution planning, cost monitoring, procurement, permits, documentation, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree preferred in engineering or construction management.
• 3–5 years (PM I) or 5+ years (PM II) of HV substation/transmission construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Establish site safety requirements with the safety team.
• Create a Project Execution Plan with pre-construction and operations personnel.
• Monitor costs, revenue projections, and maintain project records.
• Procure materials and subcontracts and manage on-site progress and invoicing.
• Submit monthly cost-to-complete projections.
• Plan pre-construction activities; review estimates for risks and opportunities.
• Review permits and licensing as required.
• Maintain project documentation (submittals, RFIs, minutes, work plans).
• Communicate with contracting parties and owner's reps.
• Closeout with final docs, invoicing, and retainage release.
• Build relationships in local marketplaces and coordinate with the project team.
