Job summary

William Charles Electric, a MasTec Company, seeks Project Managers I or II to lead renewables and power delivery projects from pre-construction through closeout. You’ll manage substations, transmission lines, and on-site teams to keep projects on schedule and within budget, with a focus on safety and quality.

This on-site role requires the ability to travel across the continental U.S., with a 3-week on-site rotation and a $1,020 weekly per diem.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3–5 years in Medium/High Voltage substation and transmission line construction, estimating and project management for PM I.
• 5+ years in the same field for PM II.

Responsibilities

• Establish safety requirements with the safety team and ensure programs are executed.
• Develop a Project Execution Plan with pre-construction and operations teams to manage contracts, resources, procurement and critical path scheduling.
• Monitor finances including cost projections, invoicing, and maintain project records.
• Procure materials and subcontracts; manage on-site activities, progress reporting and committed costs.
• Submit monthly cost-to-complete projections.
• Engage in pre-construction planning and review estimates for risks and opportunities.
• Review and procure permits or licenses as needed.
• Maintain project documentation: submittals, RFIs, minutes, work plans.
• Communicate with contracting parties and owner's reps.
• Closeout with final docs, invoicing, retainage releases.
