Job summary

William Charles Electric, a MasTec Company, seeks a Project Manager to lead clean energy substations and transmission line projects from pre-construction to completion. Roles entail schedule adherence, budget control, and active travel across project sites in the US, with per diem and a company vehicle provided.

The candidate will oversee safety, procurement, and contract management while coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of Medium/High Voltage substation and transmission line construction experience for PM I; 5+ years for PM II.

Responsibilities

• Establish site-specific safety requirements with the safety team.
• Develop Project Execution Plan with pre-construction and operations personnel; manage contracts, resources, procurement, and critical path schedule.
• Monitor financials: costs, revenue projections, change orders, and invoicing; maintain project records.
• Procure materials and subcontracts; oversee on-site management, receiving, progress reporting, and cost management.
• Submit monthly cost-to-complete projections.
• Pre-construction planning; review estimates and identify risks and opportunities.
• Review and obtain permits or licenses as required.
• Maintain project documentation: submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, work plans.
• Communicate with contracting parties and owners’ representatives.
• Closeout: finalize documentation, invoicing, retainage release.
