Job summary

Affi is a remote-first company delivering a clear, auditable ledger platform for a regulated financial industry. The Ledger Engineering team sets technical strategy for a year-long horizon and drives scalable systems that support growth in finance partners and consumers.

You will lead backend architecture, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product, analytics, and capital markets to ensure reliability, audit readiness, and business impact across the organization.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale.
• 2+ years managing a software team.
• Experience with AWS, MySQL, Spark and Kubernetes for distributed systems.
• Experience in financial systems, ledgering or treasury domains.
• Strong communication and collaboration with global teams.

Responsibilities

• Set technical strategy for your team on a year-long horizon.
• Collaborate with product management, design & analytics to ensure sustainability, risks and trade-offs are understood.
• Define and advocate technical solutions and operational processes for the team.
• Own team operations and availability with monitoring, triage, playbooks, testing and on-call readiness.
• Set code review and design standards and promote them beyond your team.
• Develop talent by providing feedback and guidance and leading by example.
