Job summary

Affi is a remote-first company delivering a transparent, scalable ledger platform powering critical financial interactions. You will set the annual technical strategy for your backend team and align it with business impact across products and partners.

You will collaborate with product, design and analytics to ensure sustainable architecture, reliability, and efficient deployment. You will coach engineers, lead by example, and drive on-call readiness and quality standards across the team.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale.
• 2+ years of experience managing a software team.
• Experience in financial systems, ledgering, treasury or adjacent domains.

Responsibilities

• Set technical strategy for your team on a year-long time scale and align it with business impact.
• Collaborate across product, design & analytics to ensure sustainability, risks and trade-offs are understood.
• Act as a force-multiplier by defining and advocating technical solutions and processes.
• Own team operations and availability with monitoring, runbooks, and on-call readiness.
• Foster quality and ownership by setting code design standards and promoting them.
• Develop talent by giving feedback and guidance and leading by example.
