Affi is seeking a Senior Backend Engineering Lead to define yearly technical strategy for a Ledger Engineering team with a focus on scalable, audit-grade systems. You will collaborate across product management, design and analytics to ensure sustainable solutions and robust operational processes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale.
• 2+ years of experience managing a software team.
• Experience with AWS, MySQL, Spark and Kubernetes.
• Experience in financial systems, ledgering or treasury domains is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set technical strategy for your team on a yearly time scale and align it with business projects.
• Collaborate with product management, design and analytics to ensure technical sustainability and managed risks.
• Advocate for scalable technical solutions and efficient operational processes.
• Own team operations and availability with monitoring, on-call duties and playbooks.
• Mentor and develop team members, providing feedback and leading by example.
