We seek a senior backend engineering leader to set technical strategy, guide a high-performing team, and ensure reliability while collaborating across product and analytics to deliver business-impacting projects.

You will own operations, drive quality through reviews and standards, and mentor engineers to grow talent within a distributed organization.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale.
• 2+ years of engineering management experience leading a software team.
• Experience with Python or Kotlin and distributed systems in a financial context.

Responsibilities

• Set technical strategy for the team on a yearly horizon and align with business goals.
• Collaborate with product, design and analytics to ensure sustainability and risk management.
• Advocate for scalable, reliable architectures and operational playbooks.
• Own team operations, monitoring, triage rotations and on-call readiness.
• Establish and promote code standards, architecture reviews and knowledge sharing.
