Job summary

Affi, a remote-first company, seeks an engineering leader to set the technical direction for a ledger-focused team. You will align with product, design and analytics to deliver scalable, auditable financial software with strong reliability and governance.

You will mentor engineers, drive high-quality code and architecture, and oversee operations, monitoring, and on-call readiness across a distributed team.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale.
• 2+ years of experience managing a software team.
• Experience with highly available distributed systems.
• Strong communication across global teams.
• Understanding of financial systems, ledgering or treasury domains.

Responsibilities

• Set technical strategy for your team on a year-long horizon.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics for sustainability and risk awareness.
• Define and advocate technical solutions and operational processes.
• Own team operations, monitoring, playbooks, and on-call readiness.
• Set coding and design standards and mentor teammates.
