Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale.
• 2+ years of experience managing a software team.
• Strong track record with highly available distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Set technical strategy for your team on a year-long time scale and align with business goals.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics to ensure sustainability, risks and trade-offs are understood.
• Advocate for robust technical solutions and operational processes.
• Ensure your team’s operations and availability through monitoring, runbooks, policies and on-call readiness.
• Set code review and design standards and broaden them beyond your team through writing and talks.
• Develop talent by mentoring and leading by example.
