The role leads backend engineering, shaping technical strategy and team performance in a distributed, high-availability environment. You will partner across product and analytics to ensure scalable, reliable systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale using Python or Kotlin.
• 2+ years managing a software team.
• Experience with AWS, MySQL, Spark and Kubernetes.
• Experience in financial systems, ledgering or related domains.

Responsibilities

• Set technical strategy for your team on a year-long horizon and align it with key business projects.
• Collaborate across product, design and analytics to ensure sustainability, risk management and trade-offs are understood.
• Define and advocate technical solutions and operational processes to improve team impact.
• Own operations and availability with monitoring, runbooks, testing and on-call readiness.
• Raise coding and design standards and mentor the team through reviews and tech talks.
