LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a privately held, mid-market organization based in Flower Mound, Texas, to hire a hands-on Accounting Manager who will lead daily accounting operations and manage the monthly close in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.

This role blends accounting execution with people leadership and process development, ideal for a manager who enjoys being deeply involved in the work while building structure and scalability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership.
• At least 2 years in a people-management role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial close processes.
• Hands-on, player-coach leadership style with process improvement.
• Proficient Excel and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting across multiple entities (GL, AP, AR).
• Own monthly and annual close, reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis.
• Review financial results for accuracy, completeness, and GAAP compliance.
• Manage accruals and expense allocations in a high-volume environment.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team while remaining hands-on in execution.
• Partner with Operations and Finance to resolve accounting issues and improve data quality.
• Identify manual processes and drive automation to scale accounting workflows.
• Design, document, and implement accounting processes and procedures.
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with internal requirements.
