Employee Relations Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the accounting team, drive the monthly close, and ensure accuracy of financial information across multiple entities.

This hands-on role combines strong technical accounting with leadership to develop others and improve processes. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, a solid US GAAP foundation, and proven ability to mentor staff while partnering with cross-functional

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with close processes and leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, and US GAAP.
• Experience in a multi-entity or multi-location environment; coaching or mentoring teammates.
• Experience supporting external audits and creating audit schedules.

Responsibilities

• Manage key aspects of monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee general ledger, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations; ensure integrity of financial data.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support preparation and review of monthly financial statements and internal reports.
• Maintain accounting accuracy across multi-entity/multi-location environment and intercompany activity.
• Partner with leadership to strengthen internal controls, policies, and documentation.
• Identify opportunities to streamline close, automate processes, and improve reporting.
• Assist with external audits, schedules, and year-end requirements.
• Collaborate with finance and operations to resolve accounting issues.
