Job summary

InTown Suites is seeking a Guest Services Representative to assist guests efficiently and courteously at the front office. You will handle check-in/check-out, manage reservations, and ensure a professional guest experience in the absence of the General Manager.

The role requires strong computer skills, cash handling, and the ability to work long hours and multi-task. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and a functioning automobile.
• Able to read, understand, and interpret information found in reports and internal hotel information.
• Read, speak, write and understand English to interact with guests, staff, and handle administrative duties.
• Sufficient mathematical skills to calculate room revenue, occupancy percentage, and balance a cash bank.
• General computer proficiency.
• Possess thorough knowledge of Front Office operations, guest relations, and etiquette.
• Ability to work long hours on a regular basis and handle multiple tasks under time constraints.
• Ability to communicate clearly and resolve guest and operational problems effectively.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests efficiently at check-in and check-out.
• Represent hotel in a professional manner and check guests in/out promptly.
• Must be proficient in the front office computer system.
• Available at all times to address guest issues professionally.
• Notify GM of any safety, security, or cash concerns immediately.
• Provide guidance to property staff as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety and security standards.
• Manage bank deposits in GM’s absence.
• Identify and follow up on life/safety issues and inspections.
• Keep desks and office areas clean and organized.
• Travel to other properties within the market and to the bank as needed.
