Job summary

Athena Hospitality Group in Nashville seeks a Front Desk Agent to greet and register guests, deliver outstanding service during stays, and settle accounts at departure. You will handle check-ins and check-outs, answer inquiries about facilities and local attractions, and operate the front desk computer system with courtesy and efficiency.

A high school diploma and customer-service orientation are required; hotel experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; College course work in related fields helpful.
• Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
• Possess a positive and upbeat personality with a desire to deliver outstanding customer service to our guests.
• Demonstrate the ability to multitask, be detail-oriented and be able to problem solve in order to effectively deal with internal and external customers.
• Must work well in stressful high-pressure situations.
• Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
• Must be willing and able to work a varied schedule that may include evenings nights weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register the guest with a friendly, service-oriented approach.
• Handle check-ins and check-outs in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Maintain the telephone switchboard and respond to guest inquiries about services, hours, and local attractions.
• Provide information on restaurants, transportation, and entertainment.
• Be familiar with brand policies, room rates, and promotions; quote accurate rates.
• Operate front desk computer systems accurately and efficiently.
