Job summary

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants in Santa Barbara, CA is seeking a Guest Service Agent to handle guest registration, check-out, PBX operations, and mail/messages while delivering outstanding service. You will advocate for the hotel and craft personal guest experiences to encourage repeat visits.

Ideal candidates bring a high school diploma (or GED), prior front desk or customer-facing experience, knowledge of local area, flexibility for evenings/weekends, and the ability to work well under pressure

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous front desk or customer-facing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of local area, attractions and events.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Register and check out guests.
• Answer phone calls promptly and knowledgeably.
• Coordinate PBX operations and mail/messages.
• Maintain daily shift tasks and credit policies.
• Manage room assignments, VIPs, and special requests.
• Communicate with Reservations, Sales, Housekeeping, and other departments.
