Job summary

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is seeking a Guest Service Agent to handle registration, PBX operations, and guest communications with outstanding service. You will build relationships to encourage guest return visits and act as a hotel advocate.

Ideal candidates have front desk or customer-facing experience, a strong knowledge of the local area, and the ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends. This on-site role emphasizes a personal, guest-centered experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in a Front Desk or customer-facing role preferred.
• Knowledgeable of local area, services, attractions, and events.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Able to work under pressure with multiple arrivals and departures.

Responsibilities

• Review arrivals noting special requests, blocking rooms as needed.
• Check in and check out hotel guests in a professional, friendly manner.
• Answer phone calls promptly with accurate information.
• Complete shift checklists (AM, PM, Overnight).
• Pre-assign rooms for VIPs, repeat guests and packages.
• Follow key control policies and proper credit procedures.
• Submit lost and found reports with completed forms.
• Open, balance, and verify daily cash and card transactions.
• Monitor room availability and daily selling status using yield tools.
• Attend department meetings and communicate with Reservations, Sales, Housekeeping, Bell Staff, and Valet.
