Job summary

Extended Stay America, Inc. seeks a Guest Services Representative to assist guests, answer phones, check-in/out, and collect payments according to company guidelines.

You will handle front desk paperwork, safety procedures, and ensure a welcoming environment for guests and associates. You will process reservations, maintain accurate cash and accounts, and support breakfast display and housekeeping cross-training as needed.

Qualifications

• Understand and communicate in English proficiently.
• Proficient operation of the property management system technology and ability to work through shift reports and audits.
• Understand and comply with safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Complete routine reports and correspondence.
• Perform basic arithmetic in all units of measure.
• Apply good judgment at all times.
• Manage problems and resolve guest-related issues.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates commitment to providing the best possible guest experience.
• Assist and respond to guest requests with follow-through.
• Resolve guest issues using the Make it Right process and uphold ESA service culture.
• Process reservations, registrations, payments, and departures per guidelines.
• Maintain cash, credit card and city ledger accounts at the property.
• Setup and manage breakfast display in a timely manner.
• Keep front desk and common areas organized and clean per standards.
• Sell ESA value to inquiries and convert to reservations and occupied rooms.
• Collect guest information and identify sales opportunities.
• Conduct periodic tours to ensure brand standards.
• Provide reasonable accommodation for guest requests when possible and safe.
