Job summary

The Atlantic District is seeking a General Agency Principal to lead our Denton office in Maryland. You will have autonomy to shape office culture, mentor staff, and refine our service approach, with a strong emphasis on community involvement and integrity.

You will balance technical insurance expertise with a human connection to serve neighbors and businesses, while guiding strategic growth and maintaining carrier partnerships.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty and Life & Health licenses.
• Five or more years of leadership in an independent agency.
• Deep understanding of insurance carrier relationships and underwriting appetites.
• Documented history of driving revenue growth and managing agency operations.
• Excellent rapport-building skills with both staff and insurance carriers.
• Proficiency in agency management systems and data reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of our Denton office, ensuring every process runs smoothly and effectively.
• Mentor and guide our sales team, helping them refine their skills and reach their professional goals.
• Cultivate and strengthen key relationships with our insurance carrier partners to secure the best coverage options for our clients.
• Analyze sales metrics and operational performance to identify new ways we can better serve our community.
• Develop and implement strategic growth initiatives that align with our long-term vision for the agency.
• Represent The Atlantic District at local networking events and industry gatherings to expand our footprint in the region.
