Job summary

Community Health Resources, Inc. is hiring a Recovery Support Specialist for the MCRT Windsor, CT site.

This part-time, 28 hours per week position involves flexible Monday-Thursday scheduling and direct client engagement in crisis triage and mobile interventions. The role requires CPSRP or Recovery Coach Certification (CCAR) or equivalent within 6 months, plus relevant lived recovery experience and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Lived experience establishing and maintaining recovery from mental health or substance use condition(s).
• 2+ years working with identified populations; CPSRP preferred; must be in long-term recovery.
• Certified Peer Support & Recovery Specialist (CPSRP) or Recovery Coach Certification required or to be obtained within 6 months of hire. Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Assists clients in identifying and advocating their recovery goals.
• Uses program models including motivational interventions to support recovery strategies.
• Conducts program-specific assessments and screens as indicated.
• Collaborates with clients to create individualized treatment plans.
• Provides crisis intervention or de-escalation as needed.
• Provides case management and links to community resources.
