Community Health Resources, Inc. is seeking a Peer Recovery Specialist for the REST Center in Willimantic, CT. This full-time role supports clients in recovery, conducts assessments, and coordinates individualized treatment plans within a 24/7 crisis stabilization program.

Responsibilities include motivational interventions, crisis de-escalation, case management, and linking clients to community resources. Qualified candidates have CPSRP or CCAR coaching, and a valid driver’s license; lived

Qualifications

• Lived experience establishing and maintaining recovery from mental health or substance use condition(s).
• Minimum 2+ years working with identified populations; CPSRP preferred.
• Certification related to recovery support (CPSRP/CCAR) or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in identifying and advocating recovery goals.
• Conduct program-specific assessments and screenings as indicated.
• Collaborate with clients to create individualized, person-centered treatment plans.
• Provide skills teaching and crisis intervention or de-escalation as needed.
• Provide case management and connect clients to community resources.
• Maintain documentation in compliance with agency standards.
• Transports clients as required by the program.
