Job summary

Community Health Resources, Inc. (CHR) seeks a Part-time Peer Recovery Specialist for the REST Center in Willimantic, CT. The role offers 16 hours/week with Saturday/Sunday overnight shifts, focused on crisis stabilization and recovery support.

Qualified candidates will have CPSRP or Recovery Coach Certification (CCAR) or be willing to obtain within 6 months, plus lived recovery experience. Valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Lived experience recovering from mental health or substance use as required.
• Experience with CPSRP or Recovery Coach certification preferred or to be obtained within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in identifying and advocating their recovery goals.
• Provide crisis intervention or de-escalation as needed.
• Conduct program assessments and contribute to treatment planning.
• Maintain documentation in compliance with agency standards.
• Collaborate with clients’ natural supports and treatment teams.
