Job summary

Community Health Resources, Inc. (CHR) is seeking a part-time Recovery Support Specialist for the REST Center in Willimantic, CT.

This role supports clients in identifying recovery goals, delivering motivational interventions, and coordinating with treatment teams. The position requires CPSRP or CCAR certification (or equivalent) within six months of hire, with a valid driver’s license and a minimum of two years’ experience in recovery-oriented work.

Qualifications

• Lived experience recovering from mental health and/or substance use conditions is required.
• 2+ years working with identified populations; CPSRP preferred.
• Certification as CPSRP or CCAR or equivalent within 6 months of hire (or current).

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in identifying and advocating their recovery goals.
• Provide crisis intervention or de-escalation as needed.
• Document and coordinate with treatment teams and natural supports.
• Engage clients with brief recovery coaching and relapse prevention.
