Job summary

CHR Community Health Resources, Inc. is seeking a Peer Recovery Specialist for the REST Center in Willimantic, CT. This part-time role supports individuals in crisis, providing recovery coaching, referrals, and linkage to community resources.

You will work Saturdays and Sundays 8am–4:30pm, coordinate with the treatment team, maintain documentation, and help reduce health disparities while following trauma-informed, person-centered care.

Qualifications

• Lived recovery experience required.
• 2+ years working with identified populations.
• CPSRP or CCAR certification required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Assists clients in identifying and advocating their recovery goals.
• Provides crisis intervention or de-escalation as needed.
• Conducts program specific assessments and creates treatment plans.
• Maintains documentation in compliance with standards.
• Collaborates with clients and treatment teams to coordinate care.
