Job summary

Community Health Resources, Inc. (CHR) seeks a Peer Recovery Specialist for the REST Center in Willimantic, CT.

This Full-time, 40-hour weekly position runs Monday–Friday from 12am to 8am, delivering crisis stabilization and recovery coaching within a 24/7 community-based program. The role emphasizes client-centered planning, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and linkage to ongoing behavioral health and community resources.

Qualifications

• Lived experience establishing and maintaining recovery from mental health or substance use condition(s).
• 2+ years working with identified populations; CPSRP preferred or equivalent certification.
• Certification in CPSRP/Recovery Coach or equivalent required within 6 months; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Identify and advocate for clients' recovery goals.
• Provide crisis intervention or de-escalation as needed.
• Conduct program assessments and develop person-centered treatment plans.
• Deliver case management and connect to community resources.
• Maintain documentation in compliance with program standards.
• Collaborate with treatment teams and transport clients as needed.
