Job summary

Community Health Resources, Inc. is seeking a Part-time Peer Recovery Specialist for the REST Center in Willimantic, CT. The role supports individuals in recovery, provides coaching, and helps coordinate care with treatment teams.

Qualifications include CPSRP or CCAR certification (or equivalent) and a valid driver's license. Work schedule is Saturday/Sunday 4pm-12am with 16 hours/week. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive CHR benefits.

Qualifications

• Lived experience establishing and maintaining recovery as required by position.
• 2+ years working with identified populations; CPSRP preferred.
• Certification as CPSRP or Recovery Coach CCAR or equivalent required or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in identifying and advocating their recovery goals.
• Utilize program models and motivational interventions to educate on recovery strategies.
• Conduct program-specific assessments and screens as indicated.
• Collaborate to create individualized, person-centered treatment plans.
• Provide skills teaching to support recovery.
• May provide crisis intervention or de-escalation as needed.
• Perform case management and connect to community resources and supports.
