Job summary

Affirm is building a de novo bank and this role will own the Finxact core, digital banking experiences, and deposit/lending operations strategy. You will partner with servicing teams to create resilient, well-controlled processes delivering transparent financial products.

Lead operational readiness, staffing, testing, and cutovers, while overseeing vendor relationships and a robust control environment to enable safe, reliable customer experiences.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in banking operations or digital banking.
• Experience owning core banking platforms and related tech.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (BSA/AML, privacy, consumer protection).

Responsibilities

• Own Finxact core configuration and admin as the Bank's SOOL; manage product structures, rates, fees, posting rules, and GL mappings.
• Lead operational delivery for digital account-opening, online and mobile banking platforms; drive UAT, release readiness, and issue resolution.
• Oversee launch readiness: operating-model design, staffing, training, testing, cutover, and transition to BAU.
• Direct deposit operations: balancing Fed activity, funding, ACH/wires, reconciliations, fraud-support, and regulatory reporting.
• Oversee lending operations: underwriting validation, funding approvals, wiring, boarding, and settlement.
• Manage loan purchases/sales processes and audits; ensure data quality and compliance.
• Maintain bank's control environment: policies, maker-checker, access reviews, audit readiness, and vendor governance.
• Develop a high-performing operations team with clear decision rights and KPIs.
