Job summary

Affiirm is building a de novo bank and seeks an operations leader to own Finxact core and digital banking platforms, shape deposit and lending operations strategy, and partner with servicing teams to deliver transparent, reliable financial products.

You will manage settlement workflows, regulatory reporting, vendor governance, and a robust control environment while guiding a high‑performing operations team across product, engineering, and risk teams in a remote-first setting.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in banking operations or fintech with leadership experience.
• 3+ years in core banking platform delivery and migrations preferred.
• Experience owning digital account opening and online/mobile platforms.
• Strong knowledge of deposits, lending, processing controls, and regulatory expectations.
• Ability to build and manage vendor relationships and control environments.

Responsibilities

• Own core system administration and configuration of Finxact as the bank's central system.
• Oversee digital account opening and integrated banking experiences; lead testing and releases.
• Lead launch readiness including procedures, staffing, training, and go/no-go events.
• Direct daily deposit operations including reconciliations, wire/ACH approvals, and regulatory reporting.
• Oversee lending operations: underwriting validation, funding, and journal entries.
