Job summary

Affirm is building a de novo bank. This role will own the Finxact core and digital banking experiences, lead deposit and lending operations strategy, and partner with servicing teams to build well-controlled processes that deliver transparent, reliable financial products.

You’ll oversee operational launch readiness, daily deposit and lending operations, and collaboration with Product, Engineering, Risk, Compliance, and third parties to design scalable workflows and resilient controls.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in banking operations, digital banking, fintech, or core-platform delivery with leadership experience.
• Experience implementing or administering a core banking platform (Finxact preferred).
• Experience with digital account-opening and online/mobile banking platforms and vendor-driven changes.
• Deep knowledge of deposit, lending ops, including ACH/wires/checks, reconciliations, and regulatory expectations.
• Ability to design and operate controls, with audit/regulatory support.
• Vendor management, service levels, incidents, and escalation handling.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; SQL/BI knowledge a plus.
• Willingness for after-hours support for releases and incidents.

Responsibilities

• Own Finxact core system configuration and admin.
• Oversee Savana and digital account-opening platforms.
• Lead operational launch readiness and cutover activities.
• Direct deposit operations including ACH/wire processing and reconciliations.
• Direct lending ops including underwriting validation and funding.
• Oversee loan purchase/sale operations and audits.
• Maintain operational controls and governance with Compliance.
• Manage vendor relationships and performance.
• Develop Bank Operations team with clear decision rights.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Risk, and other functions to design scalable workflows.
