Job summary

Affirm is building a de novo bank, and this role will help establish and scale its operating foundation. You will own the Finxact core and digital banking experience platforms, lead deposit and lending operations strategy, and partner with servicing teams to build resilient, well-controlled processes that deliver transparent, reliable financial products.

You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, Accounting, Finance, Compliance, Risk and third parties to design scalable workflows,

Qualifications

• 8+ years of banking operations or fintech experience.
• Experience with core banking platforms (Finxact preferred).
• Experience with digital account opening and online/mobile platforms.
• Knowledge of deposit, lending ops and regulatory expectations.
• Experience managing vendors and service levels.

Responsibilities

• Implement and administer Finxact as the core system of record.
• Oversee digital account-opening, online and mobile banking platforms; lead UAT, releases, issue resolution.
• Lead operational launch readiness with end-to-end testing and cutover.
• Direct deposit operations including reconciliation, funding, and regulatory reporting.
• Direct lending operations: underwriting validation, funding, and journal entries.
• Oversee loan purchase/sale operations and audits.
• Maintain operational controls and governance with policy compliance.
• Manage vendor relationships and service levels across critical platforms.
• Build and lead a high-performing Bank Operations team; establish KPIs and reporting.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, Finance, Risk, Compliance and third parties to design scalable workflows.
